Free public learn-to-curl

The Lakes Region Curling Association will hold a free learn-to-curl session on Sunday, January 6, at Pop Whalen Ice Arena in Wolfeboro. The two-hour event will begin at 5:00 p.m., and participants are asked to arrive by 4:45.

Pre-registration is not required, and participants need only a pair of athletic shoes with clean soles in order to participate. All other equipment is provided.

Curling is designed for participants all ages, for men and women, and for people of varied abilities. LRCA members will be on hand during the learn-to-curl session to explain the basics of the sport and to provide guidance in stone delivery and sweeping.
