Gafney Library Annual Wreath Fundraiser

Runs until Friday, November 19, 2021 (See all dates)

Time
12:00 AM - 11:55 PM
Price
$25

Yes, it’s only September - early it seems to be ordering a holiday wreath, but it takes the Gafney Library elves quite a while to gather and wire pinecones, tie up long lengths of colorful ribbon into a full bow and attach both to a 24-inch full, double-sided balsam wreath (mmmm - they smell so good!). The end result is one that has folks lining up to order wreaths before they sell out - only 150 are made each year.

Wreaths sells for $25 each. Orders may be placed by printing out an order sheet on the Gafney website ( www.gafneylibrary.org), filling out the necessary information then submitting it along with a check to the Gafney by dropping it off in the outside book drop or mailing.

Wreath pickup is Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 20th, 9:00 to 1:30 at the empty storefront next to Town & Country Salon on Meadow Street in Sanbornville. Look for the sandwich board sign and the festive group of people.

The wreath sale is one of three annual fundraisers organized by the Gafney Board of Trustees to contribute to the library operating budget. The other two fundraisers are an annual appeal in November and Art At The Gafney during the summer months.

For more information about the wreath sale, check the Gafney website or call 522-3401.
