NH Maple Weekend: Open House in the Sugar House

On NH Maple Weekend, savor the sweet taste of maple sugaring season on the grounds of a historic farmstead! Visit a sugar house and watch a modern boiler turn maple sap into maple syrup. See demonstrations of early sugaring practices of the Abenaki Indians, a three-pot boil method used in the sugar bush, and Doc Remick’s (our namesake country doctor) handmade backyard boiler. Sample our farm-produced syrup and take some home—maple syrup and treats for sale. It’s sweet, springtime fun for all generations.

While visiting, meet and greet fuzzy farm animals and enjoy early signs of spring on the farm. The Museum Center will be closed for this event, however, the grounds will be open for you to explore.
